Join us and DIY Mom Rebekah Higgs for our free event May 7th from 6:00-8:00pm at 2743 Agricola Street as she walks us step-by-step through her DIY Staircase Runner Workshop. Enjoy a start to finish demonstration on installing a custom staircase runner with locally and nationally recognized renovator and decorator DIY Mom.
Some of the most frequent questions Rebekah receives from her followers is how did she install her staircase runner? Was it easy? How does she like it? She will be here in person to walk you through the process and answer any questions, concerns or curiosities you might have.
About a year ago DIY Mom Rebekah Higgs decided to totally transform her 1983 colonial staircase into a modern statement piece with a DIY staircase runner from Bellissimo. Rebekah started the project by ripping out the old carpet and instead of refinishing the wood she opted to paint the staircase a high gloss black from Benjamin Moore. After the initial prep and painting work was complete she selected a beautiful bright flat woven wool runner staircase runner. The Dash & Albert staircase runner was purchased at our local store in the North End of Halifax at 2743 Agricola Street. Installed by Rebekah herself we are thrilled to have her leading this DIY Workshop to show everyone how simple this custom design feature can be to install in your home.
Rebekah bought her house in 2016 and completed the renovations with the staircase runner in May of 2018. You can watch the full transformation on season 1 episode 1 of DIY Mom, or the short video tutorial is also available here >> DIY Mom Tutorial- How to Install a Stair Case Runner.
